An animation of the 'Opera Game', a famous chess game played in 1858. Following the game, the animation continues into a strange abstract skit. The winning rook draws a sword from its entombing stone, revealing himself to be king. Around the king, queens sprout from the board one by one; their arrival paints the Chinese character for heaven, 'tian'. The sprouting continues around the king, eventually filling the board with queens.
